Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is central to everything we do. All staff share responsibility for creating a safe, supportive environment where learners feel listened to, valued and able to seek help. Regular safeguarding training ensures our team understands how to recognise concerns and respond appropriately.
We are committed to robust safer recruitment procedures to help ensure that everyone appointed is suitable to work with children.
Appointments are subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including identity, references, right to work, qualifications and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, with children’s barred list checks where applicable.
Further checks are undertaken where required for the role or an individual’s circumstances. These arrangements are reinforced through staff induction, ongoing training and clear expectations of professional conduct.
